Durham University is a world class institution. Ranked 7th in the UK and 86th in the world (Complete University Guide 2021 & QS World University Rankings 2021), Durham has some of the best departments in terms of educational excellence and research. Having been a centre of scholarship for over 1000 years, Durham combines ancient traditions with modern values. The University is composed of 17 colleges, each with their own unique approach to education. With a student body of over 17,000, Durham is one of the largest and most exciting Universities to study at.


Durham boasts a wide selection of extra-curricular activities to get involved with alongside your degree. Durham is currently Britain's number 1 team sport university and both the individual colleges and the University as a whole offer a variety of sporting activities for all ability levels and interests. Durham Students??? Union also offers the opportunity to get involved with over 200 different clubs and societies ranging from hill-walking to the Science Fiction and Fantasy society. Finally, the Durham University Charities Kommittee (DUCK) supports over 170 charities across the globe and offers some fantastic opportunities to raise money through international events and rag raids.
